Beauty Obsession: Combining High-Low Products

My obsession with skincare has grown so much over the last two years. With my interest in makeup steady growing, I've realized that having great skincare is even more important. As I've been scrolling  through beauty blogs and magazines, I'm constantly seeing high price skincare items being used with low price skincare items. So I thought I would share with y'all a few of my staple products I use every  single day.

Low Price: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

This cleanser is constantly receiving praise from dermatologists for the gentle way it cleanses the skin. It works so well for all skin types and it leaves my face feeling so soft. I use the one for normal to oily skin because it is completely oil free. The product itself dissolves dirt, makeup and oil without stripping your skin completely of its natural oil. Although, it is not strong enough to get rid of eye makeup or mascara; but by the time I'm washing my face, I have already wiped off my eye makeup with some homemade eye makeup remover. Best part is that this cleaner is only about 7 bucks at Target or Walmart!

High Price: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (skin types 3,4)

Clinique has been a great company for awesome skincare products for years and years. Many women swear by this brand and the quality of the product can't be beat. They make a moisturizing lotion for dry skin types (1,2) and a moisturizing gel for combination/oily skin types(3,4). This moisturizing gel is my favorite, simply because it is made for my skin type and it does the job very well. Both types of moisturizers give you all day hydration plus strengthening your skin's moisture barrier. The gel formula is more lightweight then the lotion and is oil free. I splurge on this one simply because i have not found a lower priced moisturizer that does the job. I pick this one up at Dillard's for around 26 dollars.

  1. Hey Jerrica it's Britta from Twining Necklaces and Instagram :-). You're making Cetaphil very curious to me right now. I've been looking for a full face cleansing regime for so long. I have loved using Neutrogena's Naturals Pore Cleanser, as it was one of the first products to make my skin feel really clean. Perhaps I should just stop jumping around and be consistent :-).
